Neal is a Principal Engineer and founder of Davenport Engineering, Inc. He began his career as an environmental consultant in 1991, serving several petroleum and chemical manufacturing facilities. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the subsequent launch of this company in 1997. Today, Neal continues to trail blaze new projects and industries, advocate for clients, and track regulatory developments, all while remaining close to the technical work itself. He is a recognized expert on emission inventory development and health risk assessment. Other specializations include emissions auditing and technical review, risk reduction planning, and EPCRA SARA 313 (TRI) reporting. Neal is a CARB accredited lead verifier of California AB 32 greenhouse gas emissions data reports. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and an M.S. in Physiology from Indiana University.
Glenn Sparks
Principal Engineer
Glenn is a Principal Engineer who has worked in the environmental and engineering fields since the start of his career in 1981, frequently in a management capacity. His petroleum background is extensive and spans refining, distribution, and retail. He is also well versed in the chemical manufacturing and food processing industries and is adept at thinking strategically, managing issues, and catalyzing change. Glenn supports numerous clients, specializing in regulatory compliance, air quality permitting, rule applicability analysis, multi-media audits, waste minimization, and remediation program management. Glenn also oversees the company’s internal safety program and leads an employee training series on petroleum refining processes. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Ada Carson
Principal Engineer
Ada is a Principal Engineer with in-depth environmental knowledge of the petroleum, chemical, and other manufacturing sectors developed over a career in industry and consulting since 1992. She has worked for a broad range of clients and managed several large scale environmental projects. Her specializations include air quality permitting, regulatory compliance, emission inventory reporting, rule planning and implementation, and environmental data management. She is also skilled at navigating complex issues and technical writing. Ada is a SCAQMD Certified Permitting Professional (CPP) and CARB accredited lead verifier of California AB 32 greenhouse gas emissions data reports. Ada has both a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and B.S. in Material Science and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
