Compensation
All employees are compensated with a competitive salary or wage. Gifts and financial compensation in the form of a spot award may be provided to employees at any time by the company at its discretion. These are considered one-time awards to recognize employee contributions and/or work efforts that exceed expectations.
Holidays
Davenport Engineering provides 8 paid holidays per year. Beginning after the first 90 days of employment, eligible employees can participate in benefit plans that provide choice and flexibility. Recognizing that individual and family needs may vary greatly, our plans and programs are built to accommodate a diverse employee population.
Vacation Benefits
All regular full-time employees are entitled to begin accruing vacation time after 90 calendar days of starting employment with the company. Vacation accrual rates are based on previous work experience and duration of employment with the company. Separate from vacation benefits, all full-time employees are entitled to 40 hours per calendar year of company Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) beginning on the 91st day after starting employment. The purpose of PPTO is to provide employees with flexible paid time off from work that can be used for such needs as personal or family illness, doctor appointments, volunteer activities, observation of non-paid holidays, or any other reason at the employee’s discretion.
Workers’ Compensation Insurance
Davenport Engineering, Inc. carries Workers’ Compensation Insurance coverage as required by law to protect employees who are injured on the job. The cost of this coverage is paid entirely by the company.
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
Davenport Engineering, Inc. recognizes that our employees are our greatest assets. Full-time employees, their spouses, and children are eligible for medical, dental, an vision insurance benefits. If an employee elects to participate, the company will make monthly contributions. Employee contributions toward premium costs are handled through automatic payroll deductions.
Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance
Full-time employees are provided short-term and long-term disability insurance at no cost. Upon separation of employment from Davenport Engineering, Inc., this disability insurance coverage is terminated.
Retirement Plan
Davenport Engineering, Inc. offers a SIMPLE Individual Retirement Account (IRA) savings plan to provide employees an opportunity to accumulate savings for retirement.
